Wasatch Elementary School

On Tuesday, February 7th, all fourth and fifth grade students (and those 3rd graders who missed the test in November) will have the option to take the CogAT (Cognitive Abilities Test). The CogAT is a multiple-choice assessment that measures reasoning skills with different types of verbal, quantitative, and nonverbal questions.  The student’s CogAT score will determine whether the student will qualify to participate in the CAS (Center for Accelerated Studies) program at Provo Peaks Elementary.  Students that take the test and qualify will not be required to attend CAS.  It will be an option, if your child would like to participate in the program.  If you would like to have your child take the CogAT, please let your child’s teacher know. If you have any questions about the test you are welcome to contact our school testing coordinator, Brooke Berges at brookeb@provo.edu.
