Stephani Blanding

Welcome to Mrs. Blanding’s Class 2022-2023

My name is Stephani Blanding and I am very excited to be able to share this new school year with you. This will be my third year teaching at Wasatch Elementary. I have a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Elementary Education. My husband, Jason, and I have been married for four years and we have a one-year-old girl. I am from Sandy, Utah and my husband is from Redmond, Washington. We have lived in the Provo area for four years. We love the area, and the families of Wasatch. I am thrilled to be here at Wasatch, and hope that you and your child will enjoy this school year as much as I plan to.

Class Assignments: We will be studying reading, writing (informational, fictional narrative, opinion, personal narrative), math (multiplication, division, fractions, geometry), science (organisms functioning in their environment, energy transfer, wave patterns, observable patterns in the sky), and social studies (Utah history). The majority of classwork will be completed in class. Any work that is not completed in class will need to be completed at home.

Homework: On the first day of the week I will be sending home a small math packet for students to complete by the following Monday. Students will also be expected to read for 20 minutes everyday and complete a monthly book report. More instructions for the book reports can be found on our Google Classroom. Additionally, I will send home the information for the report at the beginning of each month.
