For the past several months our assistant librarian, Angie Judd has been collecting discarded books from school libraries to ship over to Zimbabwe. Her friend sends a crate over each year full of supplies for very remote and impoverished villages. She was contacted by her connection there and they are asking for sheets. When COVID hit the country there was a belief that the virus lived in the bedding, so the hospitals burned it all. There is now a great need for sheets. Angie is collecting sheets to send over with the books. If you have any sheets that you are looking to donate to DI, she would be so grateful to have them. They said they can use any size sheets because they can cut them down to size if needed. If you have any questions please email me at angiej@provo.edu. You can bring any sheets to the Wasatch Elementary Library this week or next.
Thanks so much for your help!
