Join Our Watch D.O.G.S. Program!

We invite all Dads, Uncles, Grandfathers, and father figures (21 and over) to be a part of our Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) program! This national initiative provides positive experiences for fathers and father figures while making a real difference in the lives of students. Our kids love seeing their role models on campus, whether it’s giving high-fives during drop-off, assisting in the classroom, or just being present to offer support and encouragement. Teachers appreciate the extra hands, and the energy and enthusiasm dads bring is always contagious!

What is a Watch D.O.G.?

Watch D.O.G.S. are fathers, step-fathers, uncles, grandfathers, and father figures who volunteer at least one day a year in our school. This program is part of the National Center for Fathering, and thousands of volunteers participate across the country. To learn more, visit www.fathers.com. The goal is simple—bring more male role models into our schools to support students, teachers, and the entire school community.

How to Sign Up

Take a look at the available dates and sign up for a day that works for you! We typically have 2 Watch D.O.G.S. per day, but we welcome additional volunteers. Even if you just want to pop by and lend a hand, we’d love to have you!

What a Watch D.O.G. Day Looks Like:

• 8:10 AM: Arrive and check in for the day.
• T-Shirts: Watch D.O.G.S. and their children wear special T-shirts to be easily identified in the building.
• Morning: Greet students as they arrive and help in the drop-off lane or bus loop.
• Orientation: Attend a brief orientation and receive a detailed schedule for the day.
• Classroom Help: Work with students in small groups, assist teachers with special projects, and more.
• Cafeteria & Recess: Enjoy lunch with your child and spend time at recess interacting with students. You might even find yourself joining in on a game of basketball or four square!
• Afternoon: Make a reminder call to the next Watch D.O.G. dad and say goodbye to the students at 3:30 PM.

It’s a busy but rewarding day, and your time will have a lasting impact on the students and staff. Thank you for being a positive role model and for your support!
