Dear Wasatch Families,
Thank you for all of your support in starting off the 2024-25 school year! Wasatch faculty and staff have been excited to connect with returning students and welcome many new students to our community. We appreciate your support with Back to School Night and Parent Orientation meetings.
In an effort to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff, school doors will not open until 8:00 a.m. for students who need to eat breakfast. We would ask that if your student does not eat breakfast, they arrive closer to 8:30 when they can go to their classrooms. The first bell rings at 8:30 and the second bell rings at 8:40.
Beginning Monday, August 19, if you need to walk your student to class, you will need to enter through the main entrance and check-in at the office first. I’ve asked all of our staff to direct parents to the main office if you need to enter the building. We really need your support in adhering to these requests. Our campus is widespread and maintaining the security and safety of any one who enters the building is a priority. This will also ensure that we are following safety and security protocols required by Provo City School District.
Finally, we wrapped up the first week of school with a Back to School Assembly where we introduced the UPDATED Satch Patch Award available to all 3rd-6th graders. This is an exciting opportunity for students to carry on the tradition of the hundreds of students who have earned this honor. We talked about the vital role that Rangers have in being resilient, respectful and responsible while also having the mindset to keep growing. More information about the new Satch Patch Award is on the school website.
It is a privilege to be at Wasatch where we want to empower all learners for life! Thank you for your support and dedication.
Sincerely, Ruth Ann Snow, Principal
