Safety and Security

  • We need to get signage, but are still waiting for information from the engineer.
  • A Kindergarten parent has concerns about Kindergarten pickup. Suggestion: Need a larger sidewalk.
  • We still have parents parking on the west side of Locust Lane. We’ve requested more police presence and for more support from the SRO. Suggestion: Are we allowed to place cones on the west side so people can’t park there? Can we put a sign that says, “No stopping or parking” on the west side? Suggestion: Call The SRO again.

Teacher Input Survey Results

  • In which area did students make the most growth? 75% of teachers said ELA. 25% said math.
  • Teachers say that paraprofessionals are a big part of the success.
  • Teachers working with small groups (WIN time), specifically the lower kids tend to be the most effective.
  • Suggestion: Parents are willing to come in and help with WIN time if needed.
  • Suggestion: Can students go to a different math class if they are higher learners?
  • Other Notes: We need solid technology programs to help students.
  • In which area does the data show that students have the greatest academic need? 58.3% math. 41.7% ELA.
  • Behavior is very significant. Teachers are grateful they have classroom aides to help with behavior, they are also able to text a group to receive additional help from admin, and having a small class size is also a priority. Students are getting enough movement during the day.
