Provo City School District

Wasatch Elementary School

Discover the world of reading with the Sora app, now available to all families in the district! Whether your child uses a Chromebook or your family’s personal device, Sora opens the door to a captivating digital library right at their fingertips.

Sora is your always-open library, full of free ebooks and audiobooks from our school’s digital community library. Students can personalize their reading experience by adding bookmarks, highlights, and notes and finding definitions for new and unfamiliar words, making every book their own. They can even add public libraries to their account to access more books.

Sora even includes options to adjust audiobook volume and speed and a dyslexic text option to enlarge and simplify fonts.

Moreover, Sora offers a diverse selection of English, Spanish, German, Italian, Russian, Swedish, Japanese, Chinese, and even hard-to-find Portuguese books.

Bilingual and Dual Immersion Program students can enjoy reading their favorite books in their chosen language.

Once you and your student borrow a book from the digital library, it returns itself, so you never need to worry about late fees.

Download the Sora app on your Chromebook or personal device and start selecting your favorite ebooks and audiobooks in your preferred language now, or visit the Sora webpage to start exploring!

Or, access our Google Slide for directions on using Sora.
