Dear Wasatch Families, In preparation for the move to the new school in mid-January, we would like to begin sharing the NEW safe routes plan that members of our community council and Provo city have...
Dear Wasatch Families,
Thank you for your incredible support of SEP Conferences this past week! Our teachers worked hard preparing and I hope you walked away from your child’s conference knowing how your child is doing at school. A special thank you to members of our School Community Council who were here during conferences to answer questions about the NEW Safe Routes Map that outlines the safe ways students can get to and from the new school. The map is found on our school website. If you missed my letter to parents about the move last week, you can access that important information here.
As a matter of clarification, when school starts in the new building on January 15, students who get dropped off for breakfast should enter through the front doors (west side of the school) to access the building. Students arriving between 8:10-8:35 who don’t need to eat breakfast at school, will be able to enter the school grounds and playground areas from the east and north sides of the school. When the first bell rings at 8:35, students will line up outside where teachers will pick them up and walk them to class. Students arriving at school after 8:40 a.m. will need to check in at the front office.
This week is STEM Week at Wasatch. Thank you to our PAWS volunteers who have planned exciting activities for students during lunch recess. The week will culminate with our upper grades participating in the STEM Fair. A huge shoutout to Mrs. Story who has spearheaded the STEM Fair and who’s been offering after school support for students as they prepare their projects.
Lastly, thank you to all of our parents who took the time to complete the Parent Input Survey that was shared. We had the opportunity to review the survey data as a community council. This data will help us greatly in determining how to best support Wasatch students now and in the future. If you shared your name on the survey, your name was automatically included in a prize drawing for one of six Amazon Gift Cards. We will be contacting the winners this week!
Wasatch Rangers know how to (B.A.R.K.) Be Resilient, Act Responsibly, Respect Themselves and Others, and Keep Growing!
Have a great week!
