Wasatch Elementary School

I’m excited to be returning to my roots at Wasatch as your new Principal! My Wasatch experience started as a parent volunteer and community council member over 25 years ago when each of my four daughters were students. In 2011, I began teaching at Wasatch as a 3rd grade teacher and then as a 2nd grade DLI English teacher. Since then, I’ve worked in various capacities in the district (Title I Coordinator, Literacy & DLI Curriculum Specialist, and Assistant Principal at Wasatch). Most recently, I served as the Principal at Spring Creek Elementary School. I have a B.A.in American Studies and an English as a Second Language Endorsement from Brigham Young University. I earned an M.Ed from Southern Utah University in Educational Leadership.

I grew up in Mesa, Arizona and spent most of my time in the swimming pool during the hot summer months. My husband (a Wasatch alumunist) and I have been married for 34 years. We have lived in Southern California and the Atlanta, Georgia area but for the past 13 years we have called Provo our home. Our 4 daughters now live all over the world with their own families. We love traveling and visiting them and our 4 grandchildren. I love the sunshine, Hawaiin beaches and reading. As a former Wasatch parent, teacher and assistant principal, I care deeply about the Wasatch community and providing every student a safe, happy and quality educational experience. It is a privilege to be back working at the “best school in the land” with all of you.
