Wasatch Elementary School

Dear Wasatch Family,

It is that time of year again where we are working with Utah Foster Care to provide them with small games and activities. Our foster families look for ways to build connections with the children they are caring for, helping them recover from trauma and thrive. Connection is built over time, through intentional activities and routines. Healthy and healing family connections are the focus in foster families. These gifts of connection give foster families an opportunity to have fun and build memories for and with the children they care for. Playing games, going on outings, experiencing something new, baking together, watching movies, visiting a museum, and being together develop secure attachments.

Each foster family caring for children is under a unique financial burden and often these extra activities are challenging to provide. Giving the gift of connection is meaningful.

Children of all ages are in the foster care program and activities and games for a wide range of ages are needed. We are accepting game and gift card donations in the office as well as cash donations through our PAWS paypal account ( paypal.com/us/fundraiser/charity/1996666 ) until December 16th, 2021.
