Teacher Spotlight: Betsy Isom
When asked what Mrs. Betsy Isom likes most about teaching, she said, “My students! I love when they are excited about what we are learning and they start asking questions and start wanting to know more and more. I love it when my students ask me questions to which I don’t know the answers and we get to learn together! Mrs. Isom teaches 6th grade at Wasatch. When she is not teaching, she enjoys watching movies, reading, finding new places to eat, and hanging out with my boys. She can play the cello, speaks German, and dislikes nuts. She likes pretty much all food, except really spicy foods. Desserts are the same – just no nuts!
Parent Feedback
Mrs. Isom has been so good for one of our kids who hasn’t liked math. She allows the kids to choose from a few different math homework sheets. That choice has made all the difference in the world!! It’s taken the fight out of homework and helped our kiddo to feel independent and successful in a subject they don’t necessarily like.
