When you return to school on Monday, you may notice some new additions to the 1st and upper grade hallways. They are sensory paths.

“A sensory path is a colorful, creative and playful way for kids to build sensory pathways, connections in the brain that are responsible for sight, touch, sound, etc., which enable kids to complete complex, multi-stage tasks.”

These are especially helpful for kids with Autism, ADHD, ADD, or sensory needs students to increase cognitive functioning and reduce sensory seeking behaviors.

The sensory paths have been purchased to support students who may need these activities as part of their LSR activities or for teachers who have students who need a sensory break.
