NewsThe last week of the year is the best in 5th grade. Mrs. Anderson’s class spent the week working on STEM projects. They used engineering skills to develop a simple chassis for a maglev train. They had three different levels to pass. 1. To make a simple chassis that can levitate with magnets. 2. Carry a passenger (ping pong ball) safely. 3. Carry 2 passengers, with wind resistance, slow down the chassis to go down the track in 3.8 seconds.
The kids had a blast problem-solving and being creative.
