Wasatch Elementary School

I was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. I have lived there my whole life except for 3 years at college in utah, 1 year in Las Vegas and 3 years in Long Beach, ca. We moved to provo last summer when the world was shutting down and going online. due to covid

I have 5 children ages 10-22. My youngest daughter Joely is in 5th grade in Mrs. Anderson’s class. The oldest just graduated from BYUI and is married living in Idaho. The next child is in college and lives in California with my parents . The other two are a senior and freshman at Timpview.

I graduated from byu 21 years ago in elementary education. I stayed home for 10 years and then worked part time as the intervention teacher at my neighborhood school in California. This is my first time teaching full time!

In my spare time I love to read, travel and spend time with my family. One of my favorite activities has been participating in community choirs. I grew up participating in dance and musical theater, and I have loved seeing so many plays since I’ve been in Utah this year.

Favorite Book: I really enjoyed the Australian series by William Stuart Long. I’d love to visit one day.
