Wasatch Elementary School

This contest is open to K-10 students living in Utah Valley. The theme for this year is “Sanctuaries”

Contest Entry Cards can be picked up in the office.

Think of these questions as you come up with ideas.

  • “ Where do you go to feel the safest and most calm?”
  • “ Who do you go to when you need to feel peace and community?”
  • “ How can we help those around us find sanctuary?”

Contest rules:

  • It must be your original and individual work ( No group projects )
  • You may choose any materials, but no entry will be accepted if they contain glitter, candy, macaroni, beans and other materials that fall off or invite pests into the museum.
  • Entry Cards are available in office or Mrs. Lee. Fill it out and attach it to the back of your work. Entries without a fully completed entry card will not be considered for the contest.
  • Size is not specified.

This is a home project. Wasatch art teachers will not be spending their time with you at school to do this project.

The Due Date for Wasatch is Wednesday, November 9th. Turn your entry into the main office. If you miss the school due day, you can still turn your entry in directly to the museum from Thursday 11/10 to Friday 11/11 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm.

A list of accepted works will be posted on smofa.org on November 15 by 5:00 pm. The museum will contact each award winner to invite them to an award ceremony Saturday, November 19th.

The exhibition will be located on the main floor of the museum from November 19, 2022-January 11, 2023

Art work should be picked up by January 31, 2023.
