Jess Hansen — Principal

My name is Jess Hansen and I am so happy to be able to work at Wasatch as the principal next year. This past year serving as your assistant principal has been exciting and full of learning. There are so many great things happening at Wasatch with the beginning stages of STEM education, drama for our traditional English classes, Chinese Dual Immersion, Playworks, and all the other excellent opportunities our students receive. I have come to love the students, teachers, and families at Wasatch and look forward to another great year!!

Chris Fuhriman — Vice Principal

My name is Chris Fuhriman.  I am 39 years old and have been teaching kids for fifteen years.  I taught 4th, 5th and 6th graders for twelve years and then spent a year as a full-time administrative intern through BYU.  For the past two school years I have been the assistant principal at Centennial Middle School. I have four children of my own who are currently in 10th, 8th, 5th and 3rd grade.  I am very excited to come home to the elementary school! Wasatch Elementary has a reputation of having great people: students, teachers and families. I am really looking forward to continuing the great work being done at Wasatch and finding ways to improve the experience for our students.
